About this Event

The accomplished contemporary classical composer, Chuck Holdeman, wrote "String of Events for String Quartet" and dedicated it to Luigi Mazzocchi and Artcinia to recognize their contributions to the performing arts. This concert features the much-anticipated world premiere of this work.

The program also includes music of Bach and Prokofiev for solo violin and the first of the Beethoven Op. 59 string quartets (the "Razumovsky Quartets" so named because of the Russian prince who commissioned them). The program concludes with music by the late 19th century Black English composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

This is not to be missed!
