We are so Excited that Dre Concepción stepped up to host a 3 day beer pong tournament at the Rook.

this tournament will start with a Qualifier, then continue for the next three Fridays.

** THIS TOURNAMENT WILL NOT IMPACT ANY OF THE SHOWS/EVENTS NORMALLY SCHEDULED **

$20 Registration Fee. ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOMED. Teams of two will compete in the qualifier until 8 teams remain! From there the top 8 will be seeded into brackets and compete weekly until ONE TEAM IS CROWNED THE CHAMPION IN THE BEST OF 3 FINALS!
First Place Prize: The champions split the registration pot.
Runners Up: Both players receive 3 drink Tuits each.
Tournament Rules:
- There is a 10 minute grace period for scheduled match times, arriving later results in an automatic forfeit.
- If a scheduled team no-shows, The House Team plays in their place.
- If the attending team defeats The House Team, they advance normally.
- If The House Team wins, one previously eliminated team is selected by RANDOM LOTTERY to re-enter the tournament.
- The revived team returns to the bracket for the next round and does not receive any additional advantages.
- A team may only be revived ONCE per tournament. Once you’ve been revived and eliminated again, you’re out for good.
- No-showing teams are NOT eligible for revival.
- Teams consist of 2 players.
- Each team starts with 6 cups.
- Standard game: first team to eliminate all opposing cups wins.
- Championship: best 2 out of 3.
League Conduct
- No arguing with officials.
- No intentional interference.
- No delaying matches.
- Respect your opponents.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, including excessive intoxication, harassment, or intentionally disrupting play, may result in warnings, game forfeiture, or tournament disqualification at the officials discretion.
- Officials rulings are final. Any situation not specifically covered by these rules will be resolved by the tournament officials in the interest of fair play.
House Rules:
- A made shot removes one cup.
- Drinking per made shot is optional.
- Cup removal after a made shot is mandatory.
Make it take it:
- If both players make their shots, the team retains possession and shoots again.
- Make It Take It applies once per possession.
Bounce shots:
- A bounce shot removes 2 cups.
- Opponents may swat or blow on the ball after the ball makes contact with the table (first bounce).
- Your opponents choose the second cup removed.
- Defensive interaction is only permitted after the first bounce.
Trick shots:
If you successfully declare and make a trick shot, it is worth 2 cups. You choose which additional cup is removed.
Examples:
- Behind the back
- Eyes closed
- Ricochet shots
- No defensive interference is allowed during trick shots.
Multi-Cupping:
- If a made shot touches more than one cup before sinking, each cup touched is removed.
- Multi-Cupping and trick shots do stack
Reracks:
- 2 reracks per game.
- Must be requested before your shot.
- Cannot be called after the ball is thrown.
Legal Formations:
* 6 cups: triangle
* 4 cups: diamond
* 3 cups: triangle/ vertical or horizontal line
* 2 cups: split vertically or horizontally
* 1 cup: death cup
Redemption Rule:
If a team eliminates the opponent’s final cup;
- Both members of the losing team receive one ball and continue shooting until one misses or all remaining cups are eliminated.
If they do;
- Game continues.
- Both teams reset to 3 cups in the standard triangle formation. The team that won redemption receives first possession.
If they miss, Game over.
Time Limit:
- Matches have a 20 minute time limit. If a match exceeds the limit, an official will declare the winner based on remaining cups.
- If a match reaches 20 minutes, the official will finish the current possession before ending regulation.
- If teams are tied in remaining cups when time expires, overtime begins.
- Overtime begins with both teams at 3 cups. First team to eliminate all opponent cups wins.
- First possession will be determined by a coin flip.
