Beer Can Derby: Left Hand Oktoberfest Edition

We are bringing Beer Can Derby back for one final farewell run! And it should be no suprise that we are partnering with our friends at Left Hand Brewing Company to raise funds for Bike MS and Team Left Hand Florida!

What’s a Beer Can Derby you ask? For the uninitiated, it’s a competition in which participants construct a pinewood derby-style race car using a beer can (in this case, a Left Hand Brewing beer can!) instead of the traditional plank of wood. You will design and construct a car with the materials provided and race against fellow competitors for a chance to win a sweet Left Hand Brewing prize pack!

Registration will be $20 and includes: your first Left Hand beer (you will use the empty can in your car design), a set of wheels and axles, and all the materials you will need to decorate and design your beer can race car. As a committed sponsor and supporter of Team Left Hand Florida, $10 of each ticket will be donated directly to BikeMS in its quest to see a world free of MS. Tickets are available through Evenbrite or you can purchase onsite at Alewife (but we do ask you to pre-purchase so we know how many sets of wheels we need).

We start bulding cars at 6pm with races set to begin at 7:30pm. As a special bonus, we will have Left Hand Oktoberfest and Double Milk Stout on tap!

"If you ain't first, you're last." Not true! We'll also be awarding a prize for Most Creative Design.
