We are excited to host the world-famous Beehive collective, a collective of activists, artists and storytellers from Turtle Island who create collaborative and anti-copyright images for use as educational and organising tools as part of their global tour this year.They will be presenting their recently completed graphics campaign 'The True Cost of Coal' created with Appalachian coalfield organisers (https://beehivecollective.org/beehive_poster/the-true-cost-of-coal/). It is a set of giant murals which traces the history of coal mining in Appalachia, tying together stories of colonisation, environmental destruction, workers struggle, incarceration and more. It will be participatory as we also trace ways we can take actions big and small to build a better world.
100% free, all welcome! At 312 The Hub in Onehunga 3-5pm Sunday 12 February.
