Renowned civil rights leader, lawyer, filmmaker, and faith activist Valarie Kaur will deliver the 2025 Beechy Peace, Justice and Reconciliation Lecture, with support from the Kraus Lectureship in Religion. Founder of the Revolutionary Love Project, Kaur inspires global audiences to embrace love as a force for justice. From leading campaigns against hate violence and mass incarceration to launching the People’s Inauguration, her work calls us to build a multiracial democracy rooted in compassion. She is the author of See No Stranger and Sage Warrior. The evening also features Afghan-American composer and instrumentalist Qais Essar.
