Bedrock is a collective of seasoned musicians whose members have served as the backbone for numerous local acts over the years, supplying musical depth and consistency. Their long-term presence, even before formally adopting the Bedrock name, speaks to their stability, collaborative spirit, and lasting influence within the Grand Rapids music community.
When performing as their own act, Bedrock delivers a dynamic blend of jazz, R&B, and hip hop, combining tight musicianship with soulful grooves and modern energy. The group features Kamyle Jackson on bass, Kurt “KJ” Johnson on guitar, Orlando James on drums, and Rodney Rhodes on keys. Together, they create a sound rooted in musical chemistry, versatility, and a deep passion for live performance.
