About this Event
Helping big siblings learn all about babies.
Join us for an interactive, family story time experience as we discuss all the exciting parts about welcoming a new baby at home while remaining safe. This class is sure to be a fun and engaging way to start the conversations around sibling preparedness.
This class is designed for children ages 2 ½ to 6 years old. At least one parent (or caregiver) must attend, but both are welcome.
Topics discussed will include:
- What a newborn can and cannot do
- Why babies cry and how they communicate
- How big siblings can help parents with baby
- Feelings about becoming a big sibling
This class will be located at the Salem Public Library in the Anderson A Room (located on the plaza level).
Note: Children will get to make a birthday card for baby, if you’d like to bring any photos with you for the craft please feel free to do so.
