Becoming a Doula: Your Pathway to Birthwork

Curious about becoming a doula or starting a career in birthwork?
Join TruDoulas of NJ for an informative and interactive session designed for individuals interested in learning how to enter the doula workforce. Whether you are just beginning to explore doula work or are ready to take your next step, this session will help you better understand the pathway from interest to training and career opportunities.
During the session, a local doula and birthworker will share real-world insight into the profession, including what doulas do, the different types of doula work, steps toward becoming trained or certified, and opportunities to build a career in the maternal health and birthwork field.
We’ll also be joined by NJMIHIA as a special guest to share information about resources to doulas in New Jersey.
This session is ideal for aspiring doulas, future birthworkers, community members, and anyone seriously considering entering the doula workforce.
What’s Included: A complimentary meal, an engaging career-focused session, and a STEM activity for children ages 5–14.
This event is FREE to attend, but registration is encouraged. Come ready to ask questions, explore your options, and take the first step toward your doula journey.
