About this Event
Get ready to spring into something new! Calling all TK-8th grade girls and their families in the El Cajon community: You are invited to join this free event and learn more about Girl Scouts!
Join us for an afteroon designed for girls who are curious about starting their Girl Scout adventure — and for adults interested in discovering how fun and rewarding volunteering can be! Adults are invited to come learn how you can support girls as a new volunteer and be part of the experiences that help them grow, explore, and thrive.
Join our Girl Scout Information Session to:
•Come make new friends today and learn about the world of Girl Scouting! Explore how to join as an Independent (IRM), how to start a troop, and our many volunteer resources such as the Girl Scout Experience Boxes!
•Learn about the 4 Pillars of Girl Scouts and the benefits of scouting at all ages. The Girl Scout experience is built on four pillars of learning and leadership: STEM, Entrepreneurship, Life Skills, and the Outdoors!
•Become a member and receive your 1st badge – “Your Year of Wonder” just for joining!
•Have fun! All girls who attend can complete a fun activity to take home to celebrate the start of their Girl Scout journey!

A GSSD council representative will be present to answer any question and help guide families in options that fit their needs. Learn how troops are built, how volunteering can work for you, and what is possible through participating in Girl Scouts.
What to expect:
- To learn some Girl Scouting info and have some fun!
- To complete a fun craft to take home!
- This event is for BOTH girls and adults.
- All participants must comply with safety requirements.
