About this Event
Calling all frog enthusiasts! 🐸
Join the WRWC FrogWatch Chapter and become a seasonal volunteer through this engaging FrogWatch training and info session. This workshop will equip you with the skills to identify frogs and toads by sound, understand local wetland ecosystems, and participate in meaningful citizen science right here in the watershed.
FrogWatch is a nationwide citizen science program that connects people to wetlands in their communities while building knowledge around amphibian conservation and environmental stewardship. As a volunteer, you’ll make regular visits to a local wetland during designated seasons, identify calling amphibian species, assess levels of calling activity, and submit your observations to a national database that supports conservation efforts across the country.
Whether you’re brand new to amphibians or a longtime frog fan, this training will prepare you to contribute valuable data and deepen your connection to local wetlands.
