Becky Moon and the stellar musicians of the Funk Phenomenon Band will take over the stage in honor of Juneteenth performing funk and R&B of the 80s and 90s!

Lady T, Teena Marie, was a fierce advocate for equality and unity. She used her voice to break barriers, stand for justice, and love without limits. In her honor — and in honor of what Juneteenth represents — Becky will be performing some of the Ivory Queen of Soul’s most iconic hits for our www.RickAndTeena.com SuperFans in addition to soulful sounds of Chaka Kahn, Whitney Houston and many more.

Meet the BNF Band: (Becky N'Friends)

Dr. Phillip Charles on guitar/vocals, Curtis Thompson on Bass/vocals, Larry Martin II (drums) and Jerome Academia keys/vocals and singing lead is the power vocalist Becky Moon Diaz. All members of the extraordinary Funk Phenomenon Band that backs the Rick James & Teena Marie Tribute.

What to Expect:

• 80s & 90s Funk, old-school funk anthems and R&B classics.
• Incredible Atmosphere: Held at the trendy, open-air Rodeo 72 Public Market in Whittier. Come early to explore the 14+ food vendors, grab a craft cocktail or beer from Capo Public House, and claim your spot!
• Good Times & Celebration: A fun-filled, community-driven space to honor Juneteenth with great music, dancing, and great friends.

• Seating: Communal, first-come, first-served (ARRIVE EARLY to secure a spot close to the stage!). Bring extra lawn chairs just in case or just plan on dancing the night away.
• Admission: FREE, please support vendors and please tip your band ($5 per musician is greatly appreciated) we need your support. Thank you!
• Parking: Free self-parking is available in the venue lot (ride-share is highly recommended as the lot fills up quickly on Friday nights).
