About this Event
Curated for Night of Ideas San Francisco in partnership with San Francisco Public Library, Villa Albertine, and KQED
When we reclaim the stories of women writers who have been forgotten or misremembered, we are not only fighting back against the record of history but also uncovering the revolutionary lives they led. Join Kim Askew and Amy Helmes of Lost Ladies of Lit, author of Loving Sylvia Plath Emily Van Duyne, and moderator Iris Jamahl Dunkle (Finding Lost Voices) as they explore feminist reclamations as a form of activism. Night of Ideas San Francisco’s theme, Lighting the Way, invites our Bay Area audiences to explore how ideas, creativity, and collective action can illuminate paths forward, helping reveal new ways of thinking and connecting about what’s next, as we look ahead to the next 250 years after the American Declaration of Independence.
