The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies (Massage) is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills by achieving mandatory units inbody massage, health and safety and client care and communication, provide body massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oil, Indian head massage and stone therapy massage.
Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of how to monitor and maintain health and safety practices in a salon environment, and how to communicate and provide excellent client care in beauty related
industries.
You will also develop underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills gained throughout this qualification.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own massage therapy services.
This qualification is completed through the exam board - The VTCT (Vocational training and charitable trust); and is Ofqual regulated.

Course content:
UV30491 Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
UV30468 Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
UV30424 Provide body massage
UV30475 Apply stone therapy massage
UV30574 Provide Indian head massage
UV30425 Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
Duration:
GLH (Guided Learning Hours): 330. (GLH incl’s. practical, coursework, case studies, assessments, research/reading, revision, written exams)
Home study (Coursework): This is completed in your own time
Practical Training: Please check out our current course dates on our website for the practical training element, additional dates can be supplied.
Attendance:
11 classroom days (ALL dates must be attended)
+ monthly video calls for coursework support (dates tbc)
Model required:
Yes, you will be required to work on models to carry out your case studies at home.
You may be required to bring a model for one to one training, and for your assessments
Case Studies:
You must carry out and document evidence of a minimum of 4 treatments per subject

Massage therapist - employed or self-employed, working in a salon or spa or as a home / mobile therapist.

Additional Costs:
You will need to purchase your own products & kits to bring to the training & in order to carry out your case studies, ie Massage oil such as grapeseed oil, pre-blended oils for relaxation, uplifting and anti-cellulite; hot stones & heater, cold stones & cooling device
