How do we define femininity when all of the traits that society deems to be feminine are stripped away?

Beauty in Bloom is a transformative makeover experience that empowers women impacted by breast cancer to rediscover and reclaim their identities through fashion, beauty and community.

This photo exhibition invites the community to reimagine how they see women with breast cancer by acknowledging the mental and emotional impact of the journey, sparking conversation about the true meaning of womanhood and encouraging reflection on personal identity and self-image. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, identity is often overshadowed by the diagnosis. This exhibition is about celebrating the whole woman, not by covering the scars of breast cancer, but by revealing the identity blossoming underneath.

The portraits on display were created during the Beauty in Bloom makeover experience, where four women received full hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling before stepping in front of the camera. Each image is a reflection of their journey.

All proceeds from this exhibition will directly support the return of the Beauty in Bloom runway show in 2026, helping us continue to celebrate and uplift women redefining femininity. Visit to view our 2024 runway show.
