About this Event
✨ About the ExhibitionBeauty and Hallucination showcases the recent work of acclaimed artist Inga McCaslin Frick, exploring the shifting boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds we inhabit. Through powerful painterly compositions, Frick blurs the lines between material and digital reality: fabric becomes indistinguishable from its reproduction, torn paper merges with images of itself, and illusions of three-dimensional space are interwoven with actual depth.
This body of work is at once beautiful and gently unsettling, encouraging viewers to linger and absorb its layered complexities.
🖌️ About the ArtistMcCaslin Frick’s career spans over three decades and includes recognition at the prestigious Corcoran Biennial of American Painting, a Bunting Fellowship at Harvard University, and solo exhibitions across the United States. After a long period of private practice devoted to caregiving, she returned to full-time studio work in 2021, integrating digital and physical processes in a way that resonates with our contemporary, reality-bending experience.
