Beasts of Bodmin Comedy is back with another brilliant line up!! We are so incredibly excited to introduce you to an absolute, star sparkling line up! These awesome comedians have come from far and wide to perform to Bodmin and they are certainly ones to catch while they are down here!
So, who's who?
Spencer Jones
Spencer is a fun, quirkily original and exciting comedian, actor, and writer, who has been nominated twice for the Edinburgh Comedy Award and for multiple BAFTAs.
After receiving a BAFTA nomination for Best Short Form Programme for THE MIND OF HERBERT CLUNKERDUNK, the BBC commissioned a four part series of THE MIND OF HERBERT CLUNKERDUNK. The series aired on BBC Two in August 2019, where it received rave reviews, and is now available to view on BBC iPlayer.
In 2020, Spencer played the title role of Leslie Winner in the six part BBC Two / BBC Studios comedy series, MISTER WINNER, starring alongside Lucy Pearman and Shaun Williamson.
You may also recognise Spencer for his role in BBC Two’s UPSTART CROW and his many comedy appearances on shows such as Channel 4’s CATS DOES COUNTDOWN, HARRY HILL’S CLUB NITE and BBC’s LIVE AT THE APOLLO.
We are so excited to welcome Spencer and all these incredibly acts to Bodmin! This is a comedy show you definitely won’t want to miss and if you’re new to Beasts of Bodmin Comedy – we recommend you give this night a go – as this super great line up will certainly demonstrate how awesome these nights are!

Freya McGhee
Freya McGhee moved to Brighton to study Chemistry but found a passion for the lab bubble into live comedy instead.
You can see Freya performing at some of London's top comedy clubs with a self-deprecating style matched with a determination to seek revenge on ex-boyfriends, McGhee’s relatable style ensures a chemical bond with all audiences.

Sandi Smith
Sandi is a West Country based comedian who has been performing for 12 years. In her first six months, she reached the semi-final of Funny Women 2013 and the heats of the BBC New Comedy Awards. She's currently performing around the country, with tales, tips and observations from her forty-something years on earth. Deceptively spacious, she must be seen to be appreciated.

JoJo Maberly
Part-time Timothée Chalamet impersonator JoJo Maberly (BBC Radio 4) was the winner of 2023’s Musical Comedy Awards’ ‘Best Newcomer’ award. She has ‘talent and likability in equal measures’ (Funny Women) and ‘a pretty face’ (Her Ex-Boss).
Mimi
Mimi is your 'local gal' host for the evening!
Mimi won Cornwall Comedian of the Year 2022 on her 3rd gig after signing up to tick stand up off her bucket list.
She decided she likes making people smile and so carried on doing it after that too!
She is often seen armed with a ukulele and a silly song or two.
