Den prisbelønte komponisten og artisten Bear McCreary, kjent for musikken til noen av film-, serie- og spillverdenens største universer, kommer til Oslo 4. august!Bear McCreary startet karrieren som protegé av den legendariske filmkomponisten Elmer Bernstein, før han slo gjennom med musikken til den kritikerroste serien «Battlestar Galactica» i 2004. Siden den gang har han vunnet tre Emmy-priser – to for Percy Jackson and the Olympians og én for temaet til Da Vinci’s Demons – samt en rekke priser fra International Film Music Critics Association, inkludert «Score of the Year» i 2024.
McCreary har komponert musikken til flere store produksjoner, blant annet «The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power», «Foundation», «Outlander», «Godzilla: King of the Monsters» og «The Walking Dead», i tillegg til Netflix-dokumentaren «Crip Camp», produsert av Barack og Michelle Obama. Musikken hans til PlayStation-spillene «God of War» og «God of War Ragnarök» har gitt ham både BAFTA-priser og Grammy-nominasjoner.
I 2024 ga han ut «The Singularity», et hardrock-konseptalbum med gjesteartister som Slash, Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Corey Taylor (Slipknot) og Rufus Wainwright.
