Before Superbean, there was Bean - Bean was a power-pop group from the early 90s, most famous for sharing a split 7” on Flipside with a then-unknown Beck. The band featured Steve Moramarco who went on to form The Abe Lincoln Story and later Superbean and Gwynne Kahn, pioneering garage rock bassist/keyboardist who played in such bands as The Leaving Trains, The Negro Problem, Mad Monster Party, The Pandoras, and Backstage Pass. They also released a 7” on Dionysus before splitting up. Now reformed 35 years later, they are playing a string of shows in the LA area. https://bit.ly/4mCYSQs
