Join Beale Street Monster Club for a very special collaborative event with the University of Memphis! See real artifacts from ancient past during a tour of the campus’ Egyptian collection at the Art Museum of the University of Memphis followed by a presentation by Professor Suzanne Onstine on the real-world history of mummies. The event will end with a talk by film historian Michael J. Cox on the history of mummies in horror films and a screening of the Hammer Horror classic “The Mummy” (1959)!!!

Participants please meet Beale Street Monster Club at Art Museum of the University of Memphis at 3PM for the start of the event. After the museum tour, we will guild you to where we will be showing the film
