Beachcombing the Bay is presented by Sue Slotterback. This weekly event will take place on Thursdays from June 20th-July 25th, 6pm-7pm (with the excpetion of July 4th)at David Douglass Sr. Memorial Park, located near the Cape May-Lewes Ferry at Beach Dr, North Cape May, NJ 08204. We'll take a short stroll to the beach and wander the shore in search of tideline treasures and talk about local wildlife.
All ages are welcome. Don't forget to bring your own bucket!
For over forty years, Sue Slotterback has been a professional naturalist and outdoor education specialist for the Ocean Discovery Aquarium, the Philadelphia Zoo, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the NJ Marine Sciences Consortium, NJ Audubon's Nature Center of Cape May, and was the Environmental Educator for The Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor. Recipient of the Alliance for NJ Environmental Education's "Outstanding Environmental Educator of the Year Award" in 2009, Sue has guided thousands of people, young and old, through her favorite haunts, turning them on to the wonders of their natural heritage.
