About this Event

Clarion is honored to celebrate Bruce Lee’s birthday (November 27, 1940) by screening Be Water, a documentary made in 2020 on Bruce Lee by Bao Nguyen.

When it comes to martial arts and the movies, no star has shined quite as bright as Bruce Lee. He reached iconic status with his movies in the early 1970s, films that are renowned to this day. But his rise to prominence wasn’t nearly as smooth as his martial arts wizardry on screen. Born in San Francisco Chinatown at the Chinese Hospital, this beloved native son will live on our hearts and minds forever.
