This March, join Be Wild at Odd Roots Coffee to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the power of local collaboration. We’re gathering to get our hands in the dirt, enjoy a fresh latte, and show how women-led partnerships—like our Grounds for Grounds loop—are the roots that restore our community.

We are celebrating the name Odd Roots by focusing on the hidden magic beneath our feet. From the mycelium in the soil to the nitrogen in your morning brew, we’re showing how simple acts of stewardship protect our local watersheds and wild relatives.

• 10:00 AM | Rooting In: Grab a morning latte and enjoy a warm welcome to the first days of Spring.
• 11:00 AM | "Be Rooted" Talk: A casual conversation on living soil, the power of local networks, and how coffee grounds help heal the watershed.
• 11:30 AM | Micro-Meadow Workshop (Adult-focused): A deep dive into layering "soil medicine" to create high-performance butterfly habitats in your own backyard.
• 12:30 PM | Mini-Root Terrariums (Kid-focused): A guided activity where "Little Sprouts" create a tiny world in a jar to watch the magic of roots growing in real-time.

We are thrilled to work with Odd Roots Coffee as a nitrogen partner! We take their nutrient-rich spent coffee grounds and put them directly into our Mini Meadows to supercharge growth.

Our meadows are a physical manifestation of women helping women. At this event, you’ll learn about the invisible network that makes our work possible:

• The Carbon Root: Mulch from Good Morning Tree Service.
• The Animal Root: Nutrient-dense compost from Heart Stone Ranch.
• The Fungal Root: Mycelium from Cap City Shrooms.
• The Coffee Root: Nitrogen-rich grounds from Odd Roots Coffee.
