🎄✨ Be a Santa to a Senior ✨🎄Help us spread joy this holiday season! Many older adults in our community spend the holidays alone and may not receive a single gift. Together, we can change that! 💝
From November 17 – December 10, 2025, local merchants (most HyVee customer service area) will host beautifully decorated Christmas trees filled with special “Santa to a Senior” bulbs. Each bulb will have the first name, code number, and gift wishes of a local senior in need.
🌟 How it works:
Visit a participating merchant and choose a bulb from the tree.
Purchase a gifts from the senior’s wish list.
Return the unwrapped gift(s) with the bulb, and place them under the tree.
Our friends at the Cedar Rapids and Marion Fire Departments, VFW Post 788, Antioch Christian Church and Van Meter volunteers will then make sure these thoughtful gifts are wrapped and delivered to seniors between December 18 -21st just in time for the holidays! 🎁
This simple act of kindness makes a huge difference in brightening someone’s holiday. 💖
