BCTC Theatre is proud to present (by popular demand) this NEW twist on an old favorite, which takes place in Kentucky in the 1940s, and features original Bluegrass tunes by Jim Gleason, Gareth Evans, Dave Dampier, and more!
And featuring Adam Luckey as "E.B. Scrooge".
Christmastime, 1949. In and around the Howdo Valley Entertainment Center in Kentucky. Old E.B. Scrooge is a miserly, maligned music producer with a hearty disdain for the saccharine Christmas tunes that have taken over the radio this time of year. Even the band headlined by his nephew Freddy and his new down-on-his-luck collaborator Bobby Cratchit are desperate to get in on the holiday music, pointing to the earnest joy of the season as inspirational. E.B. dismisses this notion with his classic expression of discontent: Humbug! With the band's bookings steadily declining, Scrooge issues an ultimatum: turn it around by the new year without the Christmas frills or he's pulling his funding.
