The Mayflower passengers laid the groundwork for democracy in the New World. January's guest speaker, Dr. Jack Dwyer with Sons of the American Revolution will provide a presentation on “The Voyage that Launched a Nation." He'll give an overview of the 1620 voyage that brought 102 men, women, and children across the Atlantic Ocean in search of a better life and the conditions they endured during their 66-day journey. Meetings are free and open to the public. Seating is limited and reservations are required. [email protected] beginning January 15. Registration is closed when seating capacity is reached (limit 42).
We will be attempting to provide a virtual option, but the system hasn't yet been tested, so we will not be able to offer it for the February meeting.
