About this Event
For our very first meeting, Wendy and I have chosen one of our favorite cookbook authors, the fabulous Yotam Ottolenghi.
The "Ottolenghi Effect"
Yotam's journey began in 2008 when he opened a small deli in London’s Notting Hill. His signature style is deeply rooted in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean traditions, yet draws on diverse influences and ingredients from around the world. Known for his vibrant, abundant window displays, as colorful as they are delicious, his food is synonymous with flavor, bounty, and sunshine.
He has since opened seven more delis, created two restaurant concepts, written ten international bestselling cookbooks (which we both just LOVE!), and written columns for the Guardian and New York Times. Additionally, he runs a central test kitchen and a successful online store. Most recently, he partnered with Waitrose to launch a range of products into store, the group had seen a seen a significant increase in Middle Eastern-inspired recipe searches as the Ottolenghi Effect shows no sign of slowing down!
We both love the colour and vibrancy of Ottolenghi’s recipes and have experienced the sheer joy of trying out fantastic flavoursome food at his delis in Notting Hill and Islington.
We’d love for you to join us for a conversation, recipe demonstration, and tasting at our very first Cook Book Club meeting. Bring along your favourite Ottolenghi book, share your favourite recipes, your successes, your disasters! Then, help us choose which cookbook to explore next month.
