BCD ~ Women in Business | OxBucks I 20th November Meeting

A morning of connection, learning and honest challenge for ambitious women in business. This month: the 10% shift, one step at a time
This is not a typical networking event.
BCD Women in Business — OxBucks is a structured monthly morning for women who own their own business, lead within an organisation, or are building something significant. It’s built around three pillars: Connect, Educate, Empower.
This month’s theme: the 10% shift, one step at a time
Big leaps are hard to start and harder to keep going. A 10% shift is doable: one decision, one habit, one conversation you’ve been putting off. Get 10% better each year at the things that matter most and, over time, it adds up to something remarkable. That idea runs through the whole morning.
Our speaker: Nancy Mudenyo Hunt
Nancy is Founder and CEO of The Nasio Trust, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Her session is called One Step at a Time: From One Child to a Movement — Leadership Lessons from NASIO and the Camino.
What does it take to turn one moment of compassion into a movement that is still changing lives 25 years later? Nancy built The Nasio Trust from helping one child in western Kenya into a community-led organisation delivering education, healthcare and livelihoods. She’ll share what that taught her about securing funding, managing financial challenges, building teams in the UK and Africa, and developing strategic partnerships.
This year Nancy took a leadership sabbatical to walk the final 250 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago. She’ll draw on both journeys to explore leading with courage, coming through setbacks, trusting your team, and why the courageous decision is sometimes to step away.
Alongside Nancy’s session, the morning brings:
10% Conversations — our Connect activity. Three short conversations with three different women: the 10% shift you’ve already made, the one you want next, and the first step towards it.
Step Away to Step Up — our Empower activity. If you left for ten days tomorrow, what would happen? A practical look at what really needs you, and how to get 10% of your week back.
Plus tea, coffee and proper time to connect with the women in the room, not just swap business cards.
Who this is for
Women in business, whether you own your own business, lead within an organisation, or are building something significant across the private, public, not-for-profit or corporate sector. If you’re ambitious, driven, and want peer-level connection and honest conversation, you’re welcome.
