Building a better tomorrow through art

Exhibition Hall
Burnaby North Secondary Access program in partnership with Vancouver, Burnaby, and New Westminster Schools present, Building a better tomorrow through art a showcase of artwork by youth with diverse needs ages 13-19. Comprised of collages, paintings, sculptures, and other design elements the collection reflects their personal experiences and aspirations.
Ready Dance Youth Project
Ready Dance Youth Project brings together young people with and without disabilities to explore dance, improvisation, and choreography in an inclusive space where individuality and diversity are celebrated. Led by professional dance artists and musicians from All Bodies Dance Project, Ready Dance is place for collaboration, community and experimental dance making.
Maceda Project
The Maceda Project assembles youth and community members to perform a composition for bamboo instruments, wooden percussion sticks, and voices by Filipino composer, José Maceda. Udlot Udlot for “thirty up to thousands of performers” is designed such that performers without musical expertise can equally participate. The presentation will take place in George Wainborne Park. The project is curated by Aki Onda and presented by Western Front in partnership with the Roundhouse.
