About this Event

Foundation for a Path Forward and the BC Muslim Women’s Forum proudly present "Courage and Leadership," a crucial gathering that brings together experts, advocates, and thought leaders to foster meaningful dialogue and advocacy on the pressing issues of Islamophobia, online and real-world safety, mental health, and leadership. This forum is dedicated to empowering Muslim women in British Columbia by providing a platform for education, support, and action.

We are honored to welcome a distinguished panel of speakers, including Canada’s Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia Amira Elghawaby, BC Attorney General Niki Sharma, Assistant Deputy Minister Haiqa Cheema, Executive Director Sireen El-Nashar of Zaytuna Services Society, VPD’s Detective Gagan Luddu and Inspector Sarah Burnham of the RCMP Hate Crimes Unit, Founder and Director Tanweer Ebrahim of the Nisa Foundation, Director Navshina Savory of the Board of Governors of the BC Principals and Vice Principals Association, SFU Director of Equity and NCCM Advisor Laya Behbahani, and esteemed leaders and professionals.

Join us on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at MAC Vancouver (2122 Kingsway, Vancouver).
