Paula Doran (Polly to her friends) is a former journalist and long-time business owner who has created innovative tech start ups, bush casting agencies and remote community magazines. Originally from Colac, she has come and gone from Ballarat for many years. Whilst juggling ambition with solo parenting in an era where our children are lost to their 'screens,' Paula has found that life is full of surprises, but in order to embrace those surprises, you need to be ready. Empire building shouldn't come at a cost, but it can if you are not nurturing and nourishing yourself and those around you.
