The micro, mezzo, and macro risk and protective factors that influence engagement in HIV care and treatment, as well as state and federal public benefits structures to support the well-being of people Living with HIV.

1. Describe the HIV disease process from transmission to chronic HIV infection to AIDS
2. Explain the basics of contemporary medical and behavioral interventions for HIV prevention
3. Identify societal, familial, cultural and other factors that impact engagement in HIV prevention and
care
4. Describe the public benefits systems available to pay for HIV care and treatmentavailable to pay for HIV care and treatment
