Join the Beantown Showdown Blockchain Hackathon & Biz Case Competition!
This event is for non-technical and technical students to develop solutions that solve business problems with blockchain, an emerging technology disrupting finance, healthcare, and government.
- Learn how emerging tech can solve real-world business problems!
- No previous blockchain experience is required - just a desire to innovate, learn, and connect.

Competition Tracks
Hackathon:
?First Place: $4,000
?Second Place: $2,000
?Third Place: $1,500
A day long competition where technical teams of up to four will collaborate to build blockchain solutions on the Avalanche Protocol and present their innovations to technical judges.
- Hacking begins Friday 3/21 at 9:30 am
- Presentations begin on Saturday 3/22 at 12:30 pm
- Recieve guidance from mentors and connect with industry leaders along the way
- Gain hands-on experience coding on Avalanche
Business Case:
?First Place: $4,000
?Second Place: $2,000
?Third Place: $1,500
Teams of up to four will analyze a blockchain-based business case, craft a strategy, and present their strategic analysis and recommendation to corporate partners.
- Case opens on Sunday 3/9
- Submission due on Friday 3/21 at 11:59 pm
- Presentations on Saturday 3/22 at 10 am
- Recieve guidance from mentors and connect with industry leaders along the way
- Gain hands-on experience solving real world business problems with blockchain

Whether you're forming a team or joining individually, the Beantown Showdown welcomes you. Hackathon teams can be formed before or during the kickoff.
Team Size: Up to 4 members per team
Size of event: The competition has limited space with both the hackathon and business case capped at 12 team presentations each. Addtionally, preference for slots to compete will be provided for teams affiliated with university blockchain clubs if needed.
