Bay View’s Humboldt Park Walking Tour

Meeting Point: The Vine Beer Garden in Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Ave, Milwaukee) across from the lagoon. Enter the park at the traffic signal on Oklahoma Avenue at Pine Avenue.

Humboldt Park was one of the six public parks that debuted in Milwaukee in 1890. This historic park is the site for The Vine Beer Garden, Chill on the Hill, Jazz at The Vine, Easter Egg Hunt, and Halloween Pumpkin Palace festivities. It also hosts Milwaukee’s oldest organized Fourth of July celebration (1910) with a morning parade and the best fireworks presentation in the county. We will explore the park and surrounding neighborhood which includes historic churches, historic homes, Bay View High School and Parkside School of the Arts.
