Join us in the Bay Area for our monthly community social!

We will hike the Little Yosemite trail, 2 miles round trip that's mostly flat with just a few gentle inclines. Along the way, we'll pause to pray Asr together, enjoy meaningful conversations, and spend time in remembrance.

This gathering is for everyone to build community and have a good time!

Arrival & Meet-Up

For directions, set your Google Maps to “Near 1897-1895 Geary Rd, Sunol, CA 94586”. Exact coordinates will be sent out the day of the hike. You may need to pay a $5 entrance fee (per car) so have cash ready.

Bring along water, snacks or a picnic, and a picnic blanket to sit and pray on. The weather will be in the high 70s earlier in the evening and cool down to the high 60s later, so dress comfortably. Please plan to arrive by 5:00 PM so you have enough time to park and use the restroom before we begin walking at 5:30 PM. The main restrooms are located in the center of the parking lot, and there will be one additional restroom stop midway through the hike.

Excursion Guide: Thooba Samimi

Thooba is a Bay Area native who brings a unique blend of skills to the trail, from grid sustainability to traditional bushcraft, horse-riding and archery. Her passion for geology drives her to understand the landscape, while her years as a youth mentor reflect her commitment to teaching. Guided by her Central Asian nomadic heritage, Thooba draws on deep ancestral roots to connect people and build community.
