Join Bay Area Explorers for a relaxed Friday evening hike through the beautiful redwoods of Joaquin Miller Park!

Meet at my car: 6:15 PM
Trail start: 6:30 PM
Parking:
Apple Maps Parking Location
We’ll meet at my car 15 minutes before the hike to check in, stretch, grab a snack if needed, and make sure everyone is together. At 6:30 PM, we’ll head to the trailhead and begin our hike.
We’re trading Friday night plans for a peaceful evening under the redwoods. This will be a shorter, beginner-friendly group hike through shaded forest trails, perfect for anyone wanting to get outside without committing to a long weekend hike.
Trail Details
• Beginner-friendly
• Approximately 2 miles
• Some elevation changes and uneven terrain
• Redwood and forest scenery
• Stops for photos and regrouping
We’ll keep a comfortable pace throughout the hike. No one is expected to rush to keep up, and no one gets left behind.
What to Bring
• Water
• Comfortable hiking or walking shoes
• Light snack if wanted
• Layers for the evening
Because this is an evening hike, please arrive on time. Our goal is to have everyone checked in and ready so we can begin the trail at 6:30 PM and enjoy the redwoods before dusk.
