Program September 28th 2024: Community Night
Special: Workshop – Vertical Gardening Volunteering
13:00 – 22:00 Open Networking – Stop by just to say hello, meet some new people, discuss possible collaborations, volunteer for vertical garden or other up-cycling art and design projects we have going on.
18:00 Community Night Cooking – We will have a special guest chef joining us in the kitchen for this session. If you want to join the kitchen crew bring a clean shirt plus something to tie back your hair.
18:30 Project Update : Wedding Affairs – This Summer we got involved in a collaborative project with Savvy Contemporary gallery and artist Yoel Diaz Vazquez to develop a local community newspaper. Yoel will talk about the project and show the progress of the project. Volunteers who would like to contribute to future editions are welcome to join.
19:00 Project Update : "Rebalance" video project – Earlier this year we held an Urgent Action Summit. The result was an ambitious plan to catalyze a movement. Our first step in this epic adventure is to produce an epic video to inspire and empower. Film maker Alex Hall and Baumhaus founder Scottie B will talk about the project's progress and how you can get involved in the next steps.
20:00 Community Night Buffet Opening – it’s all vegan, with CSA/Solawi veggies, and the standard tea, water, coffee or bring your own drinks! We recommend joining us the latest at this time so you can enjoy some of the food:)
21:00 “News You Can Use” – you can briefly introduce yourself, let us know what you need help with, if you have resources to offer or know of something interesting going on we might want to know about
21:30 Cleaning the kitchen and washing the dishes
