This will be an afternoon dedicated to casual play in the universe of Battletech and will be appropriate for both new and established players!Battletech is the science-fiction miniatures game where players control towering robotic constructs, called battlemechs, that weigh anywhere from 20 to 100 tons and combine tons of armour plating with a bristling array of myriad weapon systems.

**NEW PLAYERS NEEDING A BATTLEMECH:**
Beginning players are welcome to attend!
GMs will have a limited number of 'Mech record sheets, dice, pencils and models for players to jump in who have never played BattleTech.
MISSION DETAILS:
Scenario: Hold the Line
As a detachment of the Word of Blake, you have been tasked with the protection of your DropShip, 'Blake's Light' and the cache of vital information for The Master. Needing emergency repairs on planet before reuniting with the in-orbit JumpShip, you have needed to scramble to your 'Mechs upon that reports have of hostile 'Mech forces inbound to your position. You need to hold the line long enough for the 'Techs to finish their repairs to ensure said intelligence is not captured, or destroyed...
RESOURCES
For all Players who are interested in attending, please bring the following:
- 1 'Mech Miniature
- Record Sheet of the corresponding 'Mech
- Pairs of six-sided dice
- Pencils
- Erasers
UNIT SELECTION
Unit Selection is limited to that of the Jihad Era from the Master Unit List website (Jihad - Master Unit List), with any Word of Blake' or 'Comstar' Faction. 'Mech selection can be with units that have Advanced, Standard, and Introduction Rules*. Named Units, 'Mechs possessing Artillery Weapons, Customized, or ones with Experimental Rules, are prohibited.
- It is recommended to select 'Mechs that come equipped with a Improved C3 Computer.
- Maximum Battle Value is 2,000 BV for 'Mech selection. All Player pilots will be upgraded to 3/4 at the beginning of the game at no cost.
- All Players will be granted one Edge Point for the scenario.
*Clan 'Mechs found in Inner Sphere factions, or Mercenary faction lists, are allowed at the table*
Optional Rules: *anything not listed below is not included in the event*
- Specialist ammunition types (armor piercing, inferno, etc)
- Floating Crits
- Careful Stand
- Backward level changes
- Sprinting
- Hurried Movement
- One-Armed Prone Fire
- Advanced Criticals
