Equal parts concert and comedy, "Battle of the Jazz Bands" is a wildly entertaining new way to experience jazz, played by seriously talented musicians who are very much in on the joke. Led by Doc Watkins, this live showdown puts brilliant jazz players head-to-head in a performance where anything can happen, and probably will.
Solos will be challenged. Rules may appear out of nowhere. Audience members might influence the outcome. And through all the surprise twists, musical curveballs, and onstage chaos, one thing is certain: the jazz will be GREAT.
Representing the home turf, Doc’s House Band, led by Graeme Francis. Crossing city lines to challenge them, coming all the way from San Antonio, the Jazz, TX House Band led by Brandon Guerra!
