It’s a showdown on the ice as the Lewiston Police Department takes on Boston Fire Department in the Battle of the Badges, the second annual charity hockey game, set to benefit two impactful causes: the OneLewiston Resiliency Fund and the Travis Roy Foundation.
The puck drops at 7 PM on Sat., Feb. 8th, at the Colisée, 190 Birch St., Lewiston and families are invited to join in cheering for their hometown heroes.
Last year, the Lewiston Police Department fell just short of victory. This year, they’re determined to reclaim their title.
“This game is more than just hockey—it’s about community, camaraderie, and giving back,” said Lewiston Police Chief David St. Pierre. “Supporting our officers and these incredible charities is a way for families to come together for a night of fun while making a difference.”
Proceeds from the event will support the OneLewiston Resiliency Fund, which aids the community in recovering and rebuilding after the Oct. 25 tragedy in Lewiston, and the Travis Roy Foundation, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries and advancing research for a cure.
Cash donations can be made at the door Saturday night. With food, family-friendly fun, and fierce competition on the ice, this is a night not to be missed.
Bring your signs, wear your blue, and let’s cheer on the Lewiston Police Department as they take on the Boston Fire Department in a game that promises to be nothing short of epic!
