This year, The DelBoccio|Marchetti Group will be hosting the second annual Battle of the Badges softball game at Hasbrook Park to honor police and fire departments and pay tribute on the anniversary of 9/11. Featuring teams made up of the Mt. Prospect Police, Mt. Prospect Fire, Arlington Heights Police, Arlington Heights Firefighters Local 3105, Buffalo Grove Police, Buffalo Grove Fire and Carpentersville Fire Department, the games will start following a moment of silence to remember those lost.The first two games will be at 9:00 am, followed by the championship game at 1:00pm. Bring the family and enjoy a morning at the park honoring our heroes with our friends and neighbors, there will be a face painter, raffles, and food available to purchase from several area food trucks. In addition, Wayne Mesmer will be singing the National Anthem and Mayor Tom Hayes will be speaking to the attendees. We’re thankful to our sponsors and community members, and hope to see you out there supporting the players! It will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 8-3 pm at Hasbrook Park in Arlington Heights.
