Battle of Midway Speaker Series @ USS Hornet Museum

Please join us in the Wardroom at 1 pm to hear Chuck Myers present about the experience of making the movie Midway: Our Man at Midway.

Chuck Myers was the Navy consultant for the movie doing his best to ensure the historical accuracy of the movie. He was even able to suggest a scene that made it into the final cut of the movie! He has lots of great stories about the director movie crew and actors in the movie. This is your chance to find out what it’s like to work on the set of a movie!

Chuck Myers Bio:

BA in History. University of Minnesota

Commissioned in the Navy after finishing OCS.

Served on USS Yorktown as a JO (CVS-10)

Qualified as an OOD-F as an ensign

Served 5 years in the Navy

12+ years as a docent on the Hornet.

Technical Advisor (Aircraft Carrier) “Midway” movie (2019) and Devotion (2022)

Consultant Editor on books “Waterfall” and “U.S. Aircraft Carriers 1939-45″
