One of my top three sports is dragon boat racing. Why?… the sport requires a high level of physical fitness and endurance, providing a comprehensive workout that includes strength, cardio, and coordination, which challenges me the most! I also love how it fosters a strong sense of unity and cooperation among team members, creating lasting bonds and sense of belonging. That’s why i love my team, the Manila Klasiko Team.I have been fortunate enough to travel to some cool places to paddle and race. Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Hongkong, as well as many cities throughout my country, Philippines. I love to travel and see the world, and it’s even more fun to be able to paddle wherever I go. Now my team is preparing to represent our country as ten Senior Master Club Crew in the 14th IDBF Club Crew World Dragon Boat Championship, which will be held in Ravenna, � Italy.
I am not a total ocean-lover, but I am happy when I’m out of the water. So it makes sense that I would get involved in a sport that keeps me out there. For me, it spiritual thing. The water calms me and centers me. being part of a team is so much more than just training and competing together. The support from teammates in all realms of life is heartwarming. Despite our differences and whatever struggles life throws our wat, my teammates have each other’s backs and will help out however they can be.
