We're back for the seventh edition of 5 vs 5 Breaking Battle presented by Marlborough Mall

For more than a decade, 5 Kings has been part of Calgary's breaking story. A place where dancers, crews, DJs, judges, volunteers, artists, and supporters come together around the dance floor.
After pausing in 2019, 5 Kings is returning at a meaningful moment for Canadian breaking. With the Red Bull BC One Cypher Canada set for Calgary, 5 Kings in partnership with Ill Movements will carry that momentum into a community-built weekend experience — from the Saturday Red Bull BC One Canada National Final to the Sunday 5v5 crew battle.
This is where the week of festivities comes together.

About 5 KINGS:
Organized by a collective of local bboys and bgirls, People's Militia Crew - 5 Kings was created to provide opportunities for local dance crews to compete. Over the years, 5 Kings has grown to be one of Western Canada’s largest break-dancing competitions attracting dancers from all parts of Canada. Each year the team hand picks world-class artists who are at the top of their game to judge, teach workshops, and share their experiences with the local community. The vibe is set by internationally renowned DJs who bring their worldly experiences, spinning at the largest breaking events worldwide.
About Ill Movements:
Ill Movements has helped shape Western Canada’s Hip-Hop scene for over a three decade. From pioneering landmark urban art festivals alongside the city to producing grassroots battles, workshops, and cyphers, Ill Movements is dedicated to uplifting local talent and preserving authentic culture. By bringing together dancers, DJs, and artists, they continue to create inclusive, family-friendly spaces that connect Calgary’s vibrant Hip Hop community with the global stage.
