Battle for the Mountain Class "C" ATA Sanctioned Tournament

🏔️ BATTLE FOR THE MOUNTAIN 2026 🏔️
📅 December 12, 2026
We’re excited to bring back our in-school Class C tournament this year, but we’re changing things up and adding a lot more to it!
We’ll have competitors from three schools coming together for a fun day of competition.
🥋 Tournament Registration: $60
The $60 entry fee includes ALL 8 events:
• Traditional Forms
• Traditional Weapons
• Combat Sparring
• Free Sparring
• Creative Forms
• Creative Weapons
• Xtreme Forms
• Xtreme Weapons
You can compete in as many of the 8 events as you want. They’re all included in the $60 entry fee.
Kick-a-Thon Contest: $20
You’ll have 1 minute to kick the bag as many times as you can. Most kicks wins!
We’ll have three age groups:
• 10 & Under
• 11–15
• 16 & Up
The winner of each age group will take home a 2-foot trophy!
Creative Board Breaking Contest: $20
Competitors will get up to 4 stations with one wooden board at each station to put together their best creative breaking routine.
We’re also doing something a little different with the judging. Our judges will be event sponsors and other guests, so you’ll be performing for people who aren't necessarily martial arts judges. Put on a show!
Age groups:
• 10 & Under
• 11–15
• 16 & Up
The winner of each age group will also receive a 2-foot trophy!
🏆 GRAND CHAMPION
Everyone who enters the tournament is automatically in the Grand Champion race. There is no extra charge.
Points will be earned throughout the day:
Compete in an event = 1 point
3rd Place = 2 points
2nd Place = 3 points
1st Place = 5 points
Win Kick-a-Thon = 7 points
Win Creative Board Breaking = 7 points
At the end of the tournament, we’ll add everything up and crown our Battle for the Mountain Grand Champion, who will receive a huge 3-column trophy!
