ALPHA—explore life, faith, and meaning
Alpha is an 11-week course for people to explore life's big questions and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal atmosphere. No question is too big or too small. Each weekly session normally includes:
-- Meal
-- Short presentation
-- Small group conversationThere will be an option to participate online via Zoom.
You may indicate your preference for the in-person option or to participate virtually when you register.Alpha will be held on Monday evenings at the Batavia Parks Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson Street, in the Bart Room. The dates are January 23—April 3, 2023, from 6:30—8:45 pm. There will also be a retreat day on March 18.
Come join us on Monday, January 23, to see if Alpha is for you! No additional commitment required. The first meeting, a Launch Party, is designed to give a glimpse of what is to come.Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone. People attend from all backgrounds and viewpoints. Participants come to explore questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, and the claims of Jesus. Some are curious to understand what Christians believe. Others come to learn more about the God who really changes lives. Many guests are not church-goers, others attend church but want to be better able to understand what and why they believe.
