https://events.marian.edu/event/30301-bat-chat-moth-nightThe most popular event of the summer is here! Join us for a night hike to look for bats and other night life in the EcoLab. Meet at the St. Francis Colonnade at 8:45pm.
The EcoLab is home to many amazing critters during the warm summer nights! Join Restoration Ecologist Sarah Moss and EcoLab Science Director Zach Sylvain for a night hike. We will have a moth light set up at the beginning of the hike to help gather all sorts of nocturnal insects. Then, try your hand at using bat echolocation technology to discover what species of bats we have on the property. You won’t want to miss this night hike!
This event is family friendly, open to the public, and free to attend. Please park near the St. Francis Colonnade. We will meet by the fountain and guide visitors down into the EcoLab afterwards. Please dress accordingly for the weather and bring any supplies you might want on the hike (flashlight, water, bugspray, etc.)
RAIN NOTICE: This event will be postponed if there is a high chance of rain in the forecast. Please check our Facebook events page (Marian University Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab) or our Instagram story (@marianuecolab) to find weather-related updates.
