Join us at our annual Cornhole Tournament!
This year, we will be raising money for Theatre Philadelphia's Emergency Relief program. Their program is similar to The Actors Fund, but on a smaller, local scale. It's dedicated to supporting theater workers in and around Philadelphia. Those struggling during the pandemic, including some of our members, have received financial assistance via Theatre Philadelphia. It's time we came together and give back to make sure this much needed lifeline is still available for anyone who needs it.
Participants in the tournament are asked to make a $20 donation per person ($40 per two-person team) as their entry fee into the tournament. Participants should bring their donation receipt to check in upon arrival at the event.
Participants should register for the tournament at tinyurl.com/ia8cornhole
We also welcome any members who want to attend the event, but don't want to participate in the tournament. We encourage each attendee to make a donation of $10 to the fund if they are able.
Participants and attendees can make their donations at tinyurl.com/TheatrePhiladelphia
Whether you're playing in the tournament or just coming to hang out, please also RSVP at actionnetwork.org/events/ia8cornhole2021 so we can get an accurate head count.
This will be an outdoor event, held in the rear section of the Local 8 hall parking lot. Masks are encouraged. If we have to move indoors due to rain, we ask that you please wear a mask in accordance with current CDC guidance on indoor gatherings.
Refreshments will be provided (food and drink), but BYOB/food is encouraged as well.
Parking can be found in the front end of our parking lot, or around the hall near Swanson Street.
Hope to see you there for a great tournament!
