Basket Weaving Workshop

Learn the timeless craft of basket weaving as you create your own market basket from start to finish. Guided by an experienced instructor, participants will learn basic weaving techniques and discover the natural materials traditionally used to craft sturdy, functional baskets.

Designed with beginners in mind, this hands-on workshop will walk you through each step of the process using simple tools and time-honored methods. By the end of the class, you'll leave with a finished market basket perfect for farmers markets, harvest gatherings, or everyday use, along with the skills and confidence to continue exploring this enduring New England craft.

This basket is roughly 14.5" in diameter, 14" tall, and 6" deep.

Finished baskets will not be sealed. If you would like to weather proof your basket you will need to stain it. Instructions will be provided.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not have to bring your printed ticket to the event. You may give your name to the Event Facilitator at check-in.

What's the cancellation/refund policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your event program, please contact Christina Basler, Director of Guest Services and Group Programs, at 508-746-1622, ext. 8107 or via email, [email protected], as soon as possible, within the following time frames:

At least two weeks withdrawal notice is required for a full refund.

No refund or credit will be received, when given less than 7 days notice, for cancellation or reschedule; all sales are final.

We reserve the right to cancel an event (low enrollment, inclement weather, etc.) with at least 48-hour advance notification and you will receive a refund for your ticket price.
