About this Event
This is 3 consecutive Tuesdays from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Workshop dates are May 13, 20, and 27.
Weave your very own decorative and functional baskets! This basketry course will meet for 3 hours once a week for three weeks. Over this time, students will learn basic and intermediate twining techniques with round reed. We will cover how to start and finish off baskets, including closed and open bases, as well as shaping techniques to create volume. Students will leave with several small completed baskets and the skills to incorporate basketry into their own art practice.
Please note: Masking is now encouraged, but optional in the studio space. Individuals who feel uncomfortable using the space with others unmasked, whether for health or any other reason, are welcome to request mask wearing while they are using the studio space.
