About this Event
This course is aimed at those in the local community of Abingdon who have little to no experience of using a sewing machine but would love to learn.
Join us at MakeSpace at The Charter, Abingdon, where you will learn the fundamental skills of using a sewing machine, from threading the machine to making a patch repair or turning up a trouser leg. You will need to be able to commit to all 7 sessions (see below for dates) so that you can benefit from learning a number of skills essential for basic sewing in your everyday life.
Our experienced seamstresses, Halima, Rachael and Taiwo will be on hand to support you in a relaxed atmosphere where you can learn together with others.
The dates are 14th May, 28th May, 11th June, 18th June, 2nd July, 16th July and 30th July. Please note you will need to commit to coming to all 7 sessions.
A suggested donation of £20 is encouraged where possible.
